By binding chlorine to the porous surface of latex, it loses it's natural stickiness and creates a permanently smooth and slippery surface.
You no longer need to use messy powders or oily lubricants when putting on a chlorinated latex garment. Saving you time and money.
Chlorinated latex is safe to be worn next to the skin as is found to provide further protection for those with a latex allergy.
Some people prefer the smell of natural latex rubber. Chlorination of latex causes it to lose some of it's natural smell. Latex also becomes slightly stiffer and may feel sightly tighter.
Some brighter latex colours may experience a slight bleaching effect. This improves over time with wear and can be restored with a good quality latex polish.
Latex repairs become more difficult as adhesives no longer bind the surface of the material. Surfaces need to be sanded down and the item re-chlorinated.
